Welcome to the Summer Term. Our topic this term is Out and About. We are looking at hot and cold places and will be using our school grounds as much as possible as the weather improves. The first half of the class are enjoying Forest school every Tuesday morning whilst the other half have fun playing English and Maths games and honing our skills in smaller groups.

Throughout all this we are, of course, practising and developing our English and Maths skills. We have written about our flat friends travelling round the world and are about to publish our first books! This term we are looking at money, giving change and difference between numbers. We are still practising reading real and alien words. We know how to learn key word spellings, and number facts such as our number bonds to 20 and 100. We are getting good at counting in 2, 5 and 10s. We have received more Rainbow Spelling Certificates too.

Further information is available in our Curriculum Booklet on this website or ask one of the Year One team.
