Welcome
Welcome to St Albert the Great Catholic Primary School
St. Albert the Great Catholic Primary School is a place where the spirit of Christ is at the heart of all we do. Guided by the wisdom and values of our patron, St. Albert the Great, we are a loving, learning community committed to nurturing the unique potential of every child. Our Gospel values are at the centre of everything we do, ensuring every child feels valued, cherished, and a vital part of our school family. Our close relationship with Hemel East Catholic Parish further enriches our Catholic ethos and strengthens our mission.
Our beautiful, modern school building is surrounded by extensive grounds that include a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), a woodland area, and a pond called ‘The Spinney,’ where we offer opportunities for Forest School learning. At St. Albert's, the child is at the centre of everything we do. Our curriculum is carefully crafted to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and nurture a lifelong love of learning. It celebrates children’s prior experiences, provides hands-on learning opportunities, and helps them develop resilience, independence, and critical thinking skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
To ensure every child thrives, we use a range of strategies to support their learning and development. Adaptive teaching is at the heart of our approach, enabling teachers to respond effectively to the diverse needs of our pupils. This is complemented by targeted interventions, small group support, and opportunities to develop collaborative and independent learning skills. Together, these strategies help create an inclusive environment where every child can succeed.
This website offers a glimpse into our vibrant school life, but we warmly invite you to visit us in person to truly experience our welcoming community. We value strong partnerships with parents, as they are essential to understanding and supporting every child’s journey. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at admin@albertthegreat.herts.sch.uk to learn more or arrange a visit.
We look forward to welcoming you to St. Albert the Great Catholic Primary School, where every child is at the heart of our mission.
